Texas Hold'emStrategies
Texas Hold'em is the most popular type of poker in the whole world. It doesn't matter if we talk about real Texas poker or online Texas poker; everybody seems to fall in love with this amazing game. It's that kind of a game that requires skills and luck at the same time and gets your adrenaline level really high.

In order to be a good Texas Hold'em player you must first learn the rules and basic strategies of the game. So, this is how a game works. Every player at the table receives two cards from the dealer. Also, another thing to know is that the five cards the dealer puts in the middle of the poker table are the community cards that will help you make a great hand if possible. These five cards are placed on the poker table facing up.

The game of poker starts with the blinds. The blinds are the bets placed by players before getting their other cards. The first player to place the blind is the one sitting on the left of the dealer, followed by the player on his left. These bets are made to ensure that all the winning hands get some money. The dealer button in this variation of poker moves around the table at every round of the game, so that every player will get his turn of posting the blinds.

There are two kinds of blind bets, the small blind is placed by the player sitting in the dealer's left, and the big blind is placed by the player that follows him. The big blind equals the amount of the stake and the small one is usually half of the big blind. After all of this, the game goes on and the players get their first cards.

Each player receives two cards facing down. In poker terms these are known as pocket cards. Until now, everything is really easy, but the hard part begins from now on when each player has to adopt a certain playing strategy.

The tension is rising at the poker player, everyone is concentrated, thinking, waiting. The first round of betting begins. Players have to make decisions; what's the best thing to do, call, fold or raise. After the bets have been made, the dealer puts three cards facing up in the middle of the poker table. These are known as the flop. These are also community cards that players can use to make their hands.

The game is quickly becoming intense; the blood starts pumping and hearts start beating faster. The second round of betting begins, and goes on in the same manner as the first one. After every player has made his bet and took the decisions he considered in his advantage, the dealer deals the fourth community card. This is called the turn.

The game continues then with another round of betting, the third one in the game. Players are evaluating their cards and their possibilities. But, in this moment of the game only the higher stake can raise. After this betting  round ends, the dealer places in the middle of the table the fifth and the final community card. Things get really serious; the game is approaching the end. This is called the river and it is followed by the last round of betting.

And finally, the game ends with the showdown. It is the moment the players that are still in the game must reveal their hands. The player with the best five cards hand wins the pot money. In case you know for sure that you do  not have any chances of winning, you can choose to muck instead of loosing. This means that you give up your hand and lose the pot money.

As I mentioned earlier, Texas Hold'em is a fascinating game, have a good time playing it.
